In addition to the DECT radio base station, RFP L42 WLAN also provides a WLAN Access Point. This makes it possible to set up a powerful, company-wide DECT network in conjunction with with RFP L32 IP and L34 IP and to provide WLAN hotspots where ever required at the same time, e.g. in conference rooms.
Reasons to use the RFP L42 WLAN instead of separate DECT-RFPs and WLAN access points are:
- Only one access point for two technologies (DECT and WLAN)
- Only one switch-port is required
- Only one outlet for power over Ethernet needs to be installed
- Integrated, centralized management and set up for DECT and WLAN via a user friendly Web interface
- Net View Management:
- RFP L42 WLAN Access points can be grouped in clusters
- The WLAN-properties within one cluster can be managed for all access points simultaneously
- It is not required to administer the access points individually
